De nuevo una larga temporada sin escribir, aunque esta vez ha sido por temas ajenos (concretamente, por trabajo: no he estado en Madrid sino en San Sebastián y el conectarme a Internet era complicado), así que como recompensa no podía postear un tema que fuese simplemente bueno. Tenía que ser, para describirlo con una única palabra, “increíble”. ¿Cuál ha sido mi elección? Nada más y nada menos que esta canción de la banda canadiense The Tea Party (o ex-banda, ya que se disolvieron en 2005 después de 15 años en activo), del álbum Tangents: The Tea Party Collection.

¿Los motivos de esa elección? Por el mensaje (la conexión entre melodía y letra es sensacional), por la complejidad de la composición musical, por la calidad del cuarteto de cuerda que se escucha, por la fuerza adicional que aportan los coros y por la expresividad vocal de Jeff Martin. Todo un regalo para los oídos.
